first_imgThe Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office needs your help finding a man wanted on attempted murder charges after an incident Thursday afternoon at an apartment building on Old Greensboro Road.Authorities said it happened around 1:45 p.m. at Chestnut Trace Apartments, near Shelton State Community College.When deputies arrived, they found the 31-year-old victim unresponsive and suffering from severe facial trauma. The victim was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he’s still being treated for life-threatening injuries.Investigators learned the victim had gone to an apartment to get some of his belongings when he was confronted by the suspect, identified as Gregory Melvin Heard but also known as Minosa Saaliq. Heard is accused of choking the victim to unconsciousness before beating him on the ground.Heard is wanted on attempted murder charges.
