first_imgzoom The Review Panel for the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project has changed the end date of the comment period regarding the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and the Marine Shipping Addendum submitted by Canada’s Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. The deadline to submit comments was changed from October 14, 2016 to October 28, 2016.The panel has provided this additional time to allow participants to modify or augment their submissions in response to additional information received from the proponent on the coastal geomorphic and ecosystem models and other topics. The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority proposes the construction and operation of a new three-berth marine container terminal located at Roberts Bank in Delta, British Columbia. The project would be located next to the existing Deltaport and Westshore Terminals. The environmental assessment includes a consideration of the proposed project and of marine shipping associated with the project. In June, Indigenous groups, government bodies, the public and other interested parties, were invited to submit comments to the Review Panel on the sufficiency and technical merit of the environmental assessment. They were also invited to make recommendations to the panel on additional information that it should receive prior to proceeding to a public hearing for the project. The Review Panel will consider all submissions, including those that have already been sent by participants in relation to the environmental assessment of the project. The Roberts Bank Terminal 2 Project is also being assessed under the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Act, and requires other permits and authorizations before it can proceed.Subject to environmental permits and approvals and a final investment decision, construction could begin in 2018 and would take approximately five-and-a-half years to complete.Port Metro Vancouver has shortlisted five candidates out of more than ten companies and consortia which had initially submitted their bids to operate the proposed Roberts Bank Terminal 2.Abu Dhabi Terminals, Grup TCB / Mitsubishi Corp consortium, Ports America, PSA International, and Terminal Link / CMHI consortium were selected to move forward to the Request for Proposals stage.Once chosen, the terminal operator will be in place for a period of up to 40 years and will be responsible for terminal facilities, equipment and ongoing container handling operations. The new container terminal is expected to provide 2.4 million twenty-foot equivalent units of container capacity per year.last_img read more

first_imgCVS Health CEO Larry Merlo wants customers to think about more than prescriptions and shampoo when they visit his company’s drugstores. He expects the stores to become health care pit stops, especially for patients with chronic conditions like diabetes. Vision, hearing and blood sugar checks will be available at many locations, and customers also may be able to get help with diets and nutrition.CVS has largely finished its $69 billion acquisition of the insurer Aetna, part of the company’s broader effort to expand its health care offerings. A federal judge is still evaluating the deal and has scheduled a hearing for December 18.Merlo spoke recently with The Associated Press. The conversation has been edited for clarity and length.Q: What are some specific changes shoppers will see first in your stores?A: Early next year … we will pilot our first concept stores that begin to change the role of the retail pharmacy. The store will continue to have a pharmacy, it will continue to have products that will be focused on health, beauty, personal care and elements of convenience. But it will also have services. About 15 to 20 per cent of the store will be repurposed for services like an expanded (in-store) MinuteClinic.Q: You’ve talked a few times about revolutionizing the customer’s health care experience. What does that mean?A: It really is helping them understand how to best use their benefit programs. Take a patient with diabetes. They likely visit their physician three, four times a year. They leave the office with a care plan that includes medication, diet, nutrition, exercise. We can help those patients make sure they’re staying adherent to their plan, which oftentimes is not the case.Q: Do you expect to eventually replace the family doctor?A: No, absolutely not. Our goal is to complement the role of the primary care physician. This past year we referred three and a half million patients on to a physician. The vast majority were patients that we see at MinuteClinic that simply do not have a … physician. The referrals are not because they can’t be treated. We believe everyone should have access to a (primary-care physician).Q: You’re combining with a health insurer. How can consumers trust that they’re getting the best care from a company that’s also paying for that care?A: Our hallmark as a company has always been do what we need to do to take the best care of the patients that we serve. Our purpose as a company is to help people achieve their best health.Q: If you fail to provide good care, customers won’t return. Is that part of the equation?A: Customer satisfaction is critically important. It becomes a form of retention.___Follow Tom Murphy on Twitter: @thpmurphy .Tom Murphy, The Associated Presslast_img read more

Two weeks ago, Ohio State men’s basketball head coach Chris Holtmann said he expected his team to add “one or two” graduate transfers. Tuesday night, the Buckeyes landed one of the top graduate transfers on the market, bolstering a thin backcourt.Redshirt senior Keyshawn Woods, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound sweet-shooting guard who spent the past four seasons at Wake Forest announced on Twitter he will play his final collegiate basketball season at Ohio State. As a graduate transfer, he will be immediately eligible to play in the upcoming season.Despite coming off the bench in 23 of his 28 games last season, Woods was second on Wake Forest with 11.9 points per game and added 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 25.7 minutes per game. His 15 games with at least 10 points were second-most off the bench in program history. Woods shot 43.9 percent from the field, hit 37.4 percent of his 3-pointers and made 84.5 of his free throws.Woods will presumably slide into the Buckeyes’ starting lineup alongside point guard C.J. Jackson, who will also be playing his final season of eligibility. Ohio State graduated Kam Williams and Andrew Dakich, two guards who played key roles in the team’s surprisingly successful season last year. The Buckeyes also lost forward Jae’Sean Tate to graduation and forward Keita Bates-Diop to the NBA draft. Both Tate and Bates-Diop played as de-facto guards in different lineups. The addition of Woods will lessen the reliance on Jackson as a ball-handler and takes pressure off incoming freshmen guards Luther Muhammad and Duane Washington, along with sophomore Musa Jallow, to step into major roles. Though Woods came off the bench last season, he started 22-of-33 games in the 2016-17 season, averaging 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. He is a career 42.5 percent shooter from beyond the 3-point arc. read more

Review Manchester United – Tottenham

first_imgEven though Tottenham was the one that took the lead through Dele Alli, goals from Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera gave Manchester United a 2-1 victory and a place in the FA Cup final. All the players who were rested versus Bournemouth (Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Nemanja Matic, Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia) were in the starting lineup for this FA Cup semi-final. The rest of the starters for Manchester United were David de Gea, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Jesse Lingard. As for Tottenham, Dembele, Dier, Trippier, Alli and Davinson Sanchez didn’t feature in the draw at Brighton and were in the starting eleven today. They were joined by Kane, Son, Eriksen, Ben Davies and Vertonghen. Pochettino’s FA Cup goalkeeper Michel Vorm was on goal. The atmosphere at Wembley was terrific. The tempo at the beginning of the match was excellent. Tottenham had the early initiative and had two corners to show for it. Manchester responded with pressure and two corners of its own. In the 11th minute, Eriksen broke free on the right flank. Dele Alli followed his run and Eriksen found him with a great pass at the far post to give The Spurs a 1-0 lead. The game was open anyway. This just made it even more interesting. Tottenham was playing with great intensity, similar to its display in Juventus in the Champions League.Alexis Sanchez, Jose Mourinho, Manchester UnitedMourinho explains why Alexis Sanchez flopped at Man United Andrew Smyth – September 13, 2019 Jose Mourinho believes Alexis Sanchez failed miserably at Manchester United because he was a “sad man”, but hopes things will improve at Inter Milan. It took some time, but United eventually settled down after the goal. In the 24th minute, Dembele needlessly lost a ball in his third. Pogba was the one who took it away and sent a superb cross right onto the head of Alexis Sanchez, who guided the ball back across the other side of the net and the score was tied. A couple of minutes later, Valencia received the first yellow card of the game for a reckless two-footed challenge on Dele Alli. Not long after that, Son earned Tottenham’s first booking for a foul on Alexis Sanchez. In the 47th minute, Eric Dier decided to try his luck with a long-range shot. It deflected off Smalling and hit the post. We went to the locker room even at 1-1. The players barely took a breather in what was a gripping, absorbing first half.It was quiet a subdued second half, but Manchester United lit it up in the 62nd minute, when Ander Herrera flew in inside the box and fired a shot right in the middle of the goal. Vorm was caught on the wrong foot and it was 2-1 for The Red Devils. Lloris probably would’ve saved the shot. Pochettino had some problems to solve and the first attempt at a solution was sending Lucas Moura onto the pitch. Ben Davies was the player taken off. By going with a 3-man defense, Pochettino showed he wasn’t going to waste any time on tactics in the search for an equalizer. In the 75th minute, Vorm made a nice save on Pogba’s shot from the edge of Tottenham’s box. Later on, Wanyama came in for Moussa Dembele. Manchester had to withdraw its captain Antonio Valencia, who suffered from cramps. Mateo Darmian came in his stead. A few seconds later, Marcus Rashford replaced Jesse Lingard. Erik Lamela was Spurs’ last substitution. Tottenham failed to create a real chance until the end, as the match finished with a final score of 2-1. It was Hotspur’s 8th straight FA Cup semi-final defeat. Both Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba were wonderful today and that’s when Manchester United is at its best. Mourinho worked his magic once more, as The Red Devils booked their place in the final.last_img read more
