first_imgIt has been speculated for while now that the Galaxy Note 10 will drop the 3.5mm headphone jack. Samsung has already done this on some mid-range devices like the recent Galaxy M40, so it would be a surprising move. If this is true, the Galaxy Note 10 would be the first flagship from Samsung to come without a jack. This week, photos published by the FCC seem to confirm that the Galaxy Note 10+ model will indeed lose the 3.5mm headphone jack.We have seen renders of the Galaxy Note 10 in the past that made us speculate that Samsung would axe the headphone jack and this has now been confirmed by the US certification website. The photos are of the Galaxy Note 10+, but one would assume the regular Note 10 will also launch minus a 3.5mm jack.In order to help with the transition towards a jack-less future, Samsung will likely bundle the Galaxy Note 10 retail box with a Type-C wired earphones. Additionally, we are also hearing rumours that Samsung will unveil Type-C noise cancelling headphones alongside the Galaxy Note 10 on August 7. Earlier this week, some official Galaxy Note 10 photos leaked out, revealing the design of the Note flagship from the front, back and sides. The images all but confirm a centered punch-hole cutout on the display, vertical triple camera setup, in-display fingerprint sensor and a new gradient colour option. In addition to the 3.5mm headphone jack, Samsung may also drop either the power button or Bixby key.The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ will be unveiled on August 7 at an Unpacked event in New York. The regular Note device is said to sport a 6.3-inch screen, while the Note 10+ will come with a 6.75-inch display. The upcoming flagships are also expected to be powered by a new Exynos 9825 chipset and will likely get 5G variants as well.advertisementALSO READ | Samsung Galaxy Note 10 first official photos leak out, here’s what it will look likelast_img read more
