first_img Facebook An Irish ship that was originally part of an aid flotilla attacked by Israel yesterday is set to approach Gaza today.The Israeli navy has said this morning that it’s ready to stop the MV Rachel Corrie, and expects an easy takeover of the ship.The Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheal Martin yesterday called for Israel to exercise restraint in dealing with the vessel.Meanwhile, 7 Irish citizens, including Donegal activist Fiachra O’Luain, are still being detained in Israel following the raid on the main flotilla yesterday.He and another Irish man, Dr Fintan Lane, are contesting their deportation.
